CAF - Common Assessment Framework Toolkit
The common assessment framework (CAF) is a process that aims to support children who require additional help. It helps to establish the child's needs and looks at ways in which they can be best supported.
A common assessment should only be undertaken with the parent/carer's consent.
The assessment will assess your child’s strengths and needs and then come up with a plan of action to help support these. Though a child’s common assessment may recommend support from specific services, the assessment itself cannot guarantee this.
