Bracknell Conservation Volunteers
We are a friendly and informal group of local adults who carry out conservation work and practical tasks to promote wildlife and enhance our local environment.
We work all over the Bracknell Forest area, from small suburban woodlands to larger parks and nature reserves. We welcome people from all backgrounds - no experience is necessary. If you like to be outdoors, and don't mind getting muddy, it is great fun - and good exercise too! There is no cost or commitment on your part.
Join us every Tuesday, or once a month, or only in summer - whatever is convenient for you. The group performs a wide variety of practical tasks such as: vegetation clearance, footpath improvements, boardwalk construction, hedge laying, coppicing, heathland management, pond and stream work, wildflower planting, creation of wildlife habitats, stag beetle loggeries.
