Chard, Kelly

Not currently taking children

I am a quality assured childminder working closely with Bracknell Forest Council childcare team. I was a member of the Orchard Network team that offers childcare to vulnerable children as well as providing support to other childminders in the area until the team folded.

I have been a childminder for thirteen years and have six children of my own age 18,16,13,10,9 and 6.I have lots of experience in working with children that have additional needs. I attend a wide range of training and courses and have completed a Diploma in Children and Young Peoples Workforce as well as completing a BA (Hons) in Children's Development and Learning at the University of Reading. I am currently continuing my further education journey by studying for a Masters Degree in Education. I am hoping the course will give me further knowledge and experience in children's development and learning. I am first aid trained and recently attended a course to refresh my skills and knowledge.

I currently drop off and pick up at Meadow Vale Primary School as my children attend the school. I am also able to collect from the Nursery. Children in my care take part in a wide range of activities. We attend local toddler groups and regularly visit parks, soft play and other childminders. ________________________________________

Notes

I offer a home from home environment and currently use the whole downstairs of my house. I have a conservatory which we use as a chill out area, a log cabin for open-ended activities and messy play. Furthermore, I have a safe and all year round accessible garden as well as a large dining room that enables us to all eat meals together.
