Bracknell Forest U3A

We are a self-help organisation open to anyone who is no longer in full-time employment. It is the third age, for people who wish to keep the brain alive and the body active by taking part in a wide variety of educational, creative and leisure activities. (There is no connection with a university) 

We currently support the following Interest Groups: - American Songbook, Architecture, Art Appreciation, Art - Mixed Media, Art - Watercolour, Ballroom and Latin Dance, Barn Dance, Blues/Rock/Jazz, Book Group, Bridge, Canasta/Rummikub, Chaps (men only), Chess, Computer Group, Computing Libre, Crafts, Current Affairs, Digital Photography, Family History, French Conversation, Gardening, German, History, Italian, Local History, London Walks, Lunch Club, MOTO (Members On Their Own), Music Appreciation (Classical), Music Appreciation (Blues/Modern), Music Makers, Needlecraft, Needlework and Crochet, Out and About, Philosophy, Poetry, Recorder, Science and Technology, Scrabble, Short Walks, Longer walks, Singing for Fun, Sketching, Spanish, Table Tennis, Times Out, Transport and a Ukulele (New Group).

We hold Open Meetings with guest speakers about every 6 weeks at The Open Learning Centre and prospective members are welcome to attend. Our motto is LEARN, LAUGH, and LIVE, so why not come along and see if it is for you. It could be a life changing experience!

Session Information
We are financially independent and rely solely on our members' subscription for income - our current annual subscription is just £10.00; less than £1 per month. The Committee members and Group Coordinators are all unpaid volunteers. Prospective members pay the full membership fee until 31st December. For those members who join in January onwards
there is a slight reduction. Membership runs until 30th June. Prospective members can attend two sessions for FREE before committing to paying the membership fee.
