Wheaton, Joanne

I AM OPEN FROM 1st JUNE

I am 450 years old with two children one aged 23 years and one aged 14 years (both boys). I live in Hanworth in Bracknell in a three bedroom house. I have a homely, secure, well equipped setting with a lovely playroom which provides ample opportunities to teach and encourage children to develop, learn and grow and most importantly where they can have lots of fun and experiences. I have a spacious back garden where I encourage outdoor play activities. I have two very lovable and child friendly Dachshund dogs and one Guppy fish. I am DBS checked and my eldest son is CRB police checked. Children enjoy learning and play through a safe, secure, friendly loving environment that provides daily activities and outings. I registered as a childminder in October 2006. I am a member of the Pacey (National Childminding Association). I have received two Ofsted Outstanding Grades and two Good Grades. I have minded many children of varying ages, cultures and religious backgrounds. Cultures and religious beliefs are respected.  I have excellent references from other parents. I track children's development using the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) stages of development and by carrying out Observations. Each child also has their own file on Babydays. Babydays is also used to track your child's day such as toileting, food, what they have done, photographs etc.  I plan weekly activities and outings. Activities include arts and crafts, sensory play, construction using all sorts of materials, play dough, role play, puzzles, stories, nursery rhymes music and dance, the world, mathematics, trains, cars and much much more. We visit toddler groups (where children get the opportunity to use bigger equipment such as home corner, ride on toys), libraries and indoor play weekly and also go on special outings . Parents receive a copy of my monthly newsletter which provides information about what we did the previous month and other relevant information relating to the childcare I provide. I carry out risk assessments, daily fridge temperature checks, smoke alarm detector checks and have a carbons monoxide detector to ensure your children are cared for in a safe environment. My Qualifications are:- Childminder pre-registration course, Diploma in Home Based Childcare (Grade A), Paediatric First Aid Training, Food Hygiene Training "Excellent five star" award from the Environmental Health Department, Autistic Spectrum Disorder, Nutrition Awareness Training, Child Protection Training (introduction, level 1 and level 2), Birth to three Matters Training Early Years Foundation Stage Introduction to Childminders Training.Domestic Violence Training, Revised EYFS Training,Behaviour Management,Escalating Behaviour Management CAF training Basic Food Hygiene Child Exploitation and Internet Safety, Prevent Duty, Outdoor learning, Food Allergens, Shaving Foam and Gloop Training, FGM, Ofsted Essential Paperwork, Business , Funding training, Bracknell Forest Portal Training and many more.
