Autism Berkshire's Benefits Service offers advice to individuals and families with autism living anywhere in Berkshire.
Kevin Jackson, our qualified Benefits Adviser, has many years of experience working in the fields of benefits/access to work and autism.
He can help parents and carers of children living with autism and individuals with autism to understand eligibility for benefits and assist with completing application forms for benefits, including:
Universal Credit; Employment & Support Allowance; Jobseeker's Allowance, Carer's Allowance, Disability Living Allowance, Personal Independence Payment, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit.
He is also able to assist with appeals against decisions made under the Department for Work and Pensions assessment process.
Kevin is available for one-to-one appointments at our office in Reading. There is a £10 refundable deposit for appointments, which will be returned once someone attends an appointment. Evening appointments are also available in Reading, but these are subject to a £40 non-refundable charge.
Representing people at benefit assessment hearings and appeal tribunals is subject to a £40 non-refundable charge.
Support is also available to people with related conditions, including severe dyslexia, dyspraxia, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Advice and representation on benefit claims related to thse conditions is subject to a £60 non-refundable charge.
