Community Learning at Bracknell Open Learning Centre

General adult learning offering opportunities to discover learning for pleasure, inspiration, health, well-being and personal development. Our programme includes computer skills, arts, crafts, healthy eating and much more. Family learning opportunities for parents and carers to discover ways to support their child’s development whilst learning new skills themselves. There is a wide range of courses that include qualifications as well as informal sessions.The Employability Skills Programme of courses aims to develop skills for employment. Many of these are free to jobseekers. The free drop in Job Club at Bracknell Open Learning Centre runs on Thursdays, 9.30am - 4pm and offers caeers advice, job search resources and the chance to discuss the courses available. There is a comprehensive Well-being Programme of courses offering the chance to relax, refresh and rejuvenate.
There's also the opportunity to improve English conversation over a cup of tea or coffee, in the popular English Language Cafe, providing the chance to talk with other people who have English as their second language. There are further opportunities to progress to an English language class and gain a qualification. The cafe runs every Monday or Thursday 10am to midday (term-time). Cost: £1.50 per session.
There's also a free IT Support class - Fridays 10am - 2pm (term-time). During this session you can troubleshoot basic IT issues and get help if you are struggling with digital devices at home.
