Family Information Service

The Family Information Service (FIS) provides a free and impartial information and signposting service for childcare and other services that support parents and carers of children and young people up to the age of 20 (25 with additional needs)

FIS are also responsible for the management, up keep and review of the SEND Local Offer Website. They provide a helpline and sign posting service for telephone & email enquiries specifically related to special educational needs and disabilities.

FIS have no direct control or influence over family/SEND services but are able to identify and feedback gaps in service based on local need.
