Autism Advisory Support Service
The Autism Advisory Support Service is an educational based service. We offer support and advice to Local Authority mainstream schools and academies when assessing the individual needs of school age pupils with a diagnosis of autism or social communication difficulties.
The Support offered to schools includes:
- Support and guidance for staff working with autistic pupils and those identified with social communication differences
- Autism awareness training and development for staff within school settings
- Consultation meetings and observational visits to assess pupils needs
- Written reports, to include actions & recommendations required to meet desired outcomes
- Progress reviews
- Attendance at review meeting within individual settings at the request of the school or Local Authority
