Royal Berkshire Fire Authority (RBFA) has a legal duty to ensure that an effective fire and rescue service is provided across Berkshire and provide cover 24-hours a day, 365 days a year from 18 fire stations across Berkshire.  The following webpages focus on all areas of keeping safe and will you with up to date guidance about how to reduce the risk of fires starting.

Home Fire Safety Check

Are you over 65 years of age?

Do you have any mobility issues?

Do you receive any assistance in your home from external agencies?

Do you have any visual or auditory impairment?

You may qualify for a Home Fire Safety Check visit by a representative of Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

Adults at Risk Programme

This is a fire safety guide for all those involved in the care of adults in the community. It lays down the minimum recommendations for the protection of adults at risk from fire.

Children and Young People

RBFRS deliver a wide range of programmes for children and young people. These programmes teach a variety of skills such as fire safety awareness, communication skills and team working. Some programmes will give them the chance to experience what it’s like to be a firefighter.
